In June 2023, the debut trailer of the project “On the Other Shore” was released, dedicated to the life of the population of Western Belarus, annexed by the Riga Peace Treaty to Poland in 1921.
The action of the film takes place in 1925 near the border of Western Belarus and the BSSR. The main character Pavel lives there with his mother. The young man watches how the Polish government seeks to assimilate the Belarusians, to eradicate the language, culture and faith. Through the story of the protagonist, the viewer will see the formation of a personality in extreme conditions of severe suppression of any attempts to preserve national identity.
The creators of the project are counting on a wide audience response after the premiere of the film, because "On the Other Shore" is a dynamic and modern film about the most important thing.
